RULES CONCERNING THE PREPARATION
OF INFORMATION
REQUIRED
FOR A PERSONAL PAGE ON THE WEB-SITE MUSAGENT.COM
It is recommended, for your benefit, that you strictly follow these rules. It makes it easier for our technical team and then will accelerate the preparation to open your personal page on our Site.
1.1 The Client is responsible for the preparation of all
the information to be introduced on his/her personal page at his own costs
in accordance to the requirements presented below. It is the responsibility
of the Client to guarantee the content and reliability of this information
as well as the compliance with copyright and property rights.
1.2 For the opening its personal page the Client should prepare the
following information:
2.1.1 Biography in English (and in Russian if the Client wishes to have his/her personal page in the Russian version of the Site). The biography must be prepared as a Word file.. The size of the text should be between 1500 and 3000 characters, without counting spaces. It would be preferable to divide the biography section into :
• Header (First name, Family name, Artistic Speciality ( soprano, cello,
piano etc.), Place of Birth, Date of Birth (optional),
• Education, Artistic Activities, Tours and Performances,
• Prizes and Rewards.
Please follow the next recommendations for preparing the Biography Word
file:
1. Use f Arial Narrow font, size 12 and Left justified.
2. Separate headers from the text section with an blank line.
3. Start each paragraph from the first character position.
Biography file name must contain artist’s (or group) name as one word,
followed by characters “-bio” and then “-e” – for English version, “-r” –
for Russian version. (1)
Examples:
smith-bio-e.doc, trioelegia-bio-e – biography in English
smith-bio-r.doc, trioelegia-bio-r - biography in Russian
A sample of biography is attached below.
2.1.2 Repertoire in English (and in Russian if the Client wishes to have
his/her personal page in the Russian version of the Site). The Repertoire
must be prepared as Word file. The size of the text should not exceed 3000
characters, without counting spaces. : It would be preferable to divide the
Repertoire section into :
• “Role (opera) ”,
• “Arias”, “Lieders”,
• “Songs” etc.
for singers
• “Solo”,
• “Concerts with orchestras”
for pianists, violinists. Cellists etc.
Please follow the next recommendations for preparing the Repertoire Word
file:
1. Use the font Arial Narrow, size 12 and Left justified.
2. Separate headers from the text section with a blank line.
3. Start section paragraph from the first character position.
4. Each paragraph must be represented as a list of the works.
5. Each work starts with the composer’s last name (if first name is needed
it must follow the family name), followed by the title of the work.
6. Please, don’t use any apostrophe in the work’s name.
Examples:
Verdi. Simon Boccanegra. Il la cherato spirito…. – correct work name
G.Verdi. Il la cherato spirito. Aida – incorrect work name
Rachmaninov S. Concerto No 2 for piano and orchestra – correct work’s name
S.Rachmaninov. Concerto No 2 for piano and orchestra – incorrect work’s name
The Repertoire’s file name must contain the artist’s (or group) name as one
word, followed by the characters “-rep” and “-e” – for English version, “-r”
– for Russian version.
Examples:
smith-rep-e.doc, trioelegia-rep-e – biography in English
smith-rep-r.doc, trioelegia-rep-r - biography in Russian

Please, do not use Word Tables for the presentation of Repertoire.
2.1.3 Одну официальную индивидуальную фотографию. Формат представления
официального фото –JPEG, размер – не менее 600х900 (эквивалент 10х15 см).
Имя файла официального фото следует представлять фамилией или названием
Клиента латинскими буквами в одно слово.
Например:
ivanov.jpg, trioelegia.jpg
2.1.4 One official individual photo. Format : JPEG, size : minimum 400x500
pixels, 72 dpi. Official photo file name must be artist’s (or group) name.
Examples:
smith.jpg, trioelegia.jpg
2.1.5 In addition to the main photo of the Artist we can place on a personal
page up to 6 additional photos – from performances, concerts, tour, taken in
public with no personal photo with other person that could be subject to
licensing. Photos format : Jpeg, minimum size 640480 pixels, 72 dpi. An
additional photo name must start with its number (from 1 to 6) followed by
the artist’s (or group) name.
Examples: 1-smith.jpg, 2-smith.jpg, 1-trioelegia.jpg etc.
It’s also recommended to supply with the additional photos a Word-file with
titles of the photos and a numbered list of the titles. The number of the
title must match the number of file name of the photo.
The name of a file for photos titles should start from with artist’s (or
group) name followed
by “-photos”.
Examples: smith-photos.doc, trioelegia-photos.doc
A sample of the list of additional photos titles is shown below.
For the Russian version of the Site, one must also translate the photos
titles list to Russian.
2.1.6 We can add on a personal page either audio or video files or both. We
can accept up to 5 files of each type. A recommended duration for audio or
video files should not be more than 5 minutes in total. For example, it
could consist of two audio (video) files of 2.5 minutes each, or 5 audio
(video) files of 1 minute each.
General limitation: the total size of all audio and video files must not
exceed 15 megabytes.
Audio format Mpeg-3, video format – Adobe Flash FLV, screen size 400x300
pixels.
Audio and video files names must start with their number (from 1 to 5)
followed by the artist’s (or group).
Examples:
1-smith.mp3, 2-smith.mp3, 1-trioelegia.mp3 etc.
1-smith.flv, 2-smith.flv, 1-trioelegia.flv, etc.
To each set of audio and video files should be attached a list of the titles
of the works performed as Word file.
The name of this file should start with the name of the artist (or group)
followed by “audio” -=(for audio files) and “video” (for video files).
Examples:
smith-audio.doc, trioelegia-audio.doc
smith-video.doc, trioelegia-video.doc
The title of a work should start with the same number as the corresponding audio or video file followed by the title of the work (see Repertoire).
If an artist (or group) wishes to be presented in the Russian version of the
Site, titles of works must also be translated to Russian.
Samples of titles of some works are attached below.
2.1.7 We can also place a short press paragraph of articles related to the
artist (or the group). Press-releases must be supplied to us as a Word file,
not more then 2000 characters in length. The text of each press release must
be followed by the source of the publication and date of the press review.
A sample of press review file is attached below.
Presentation of press reviews is not mandatory.
2.1.8 The Artist’s (or group) information (texts and photos) can be sent to
us by Email: info@musagent.ru
But Audio and Video files should be sent to us by our FTP service. In this
case, please, inform us by Email when your audio and video files are ready
and we will send you detailed instruction how to transfer these files.
Notice :
1. Availability of the artist’s (or group) personal page on the Russian
version of the Site is optional.
2. We can help you with the translation, if needed, from English into
Russian with your texts of the English version of the Site. This service is
charged at the rate of 12 Euro per page of text ( 1800 characters).
